Where are we going ??
After several monthes of fighting between politics, media, people decided who will represent and manage the country for at least 5 years.
I thought we would choose the change and not the continuity, the defense of social interests and not the development of capitalistic ones, a new and different approach and not classical one. But I was definitely wrong. We chose without any surprise and without any bravery someone whose ability to speak hides his evident unability to solve problems. Often times we laught at Bush way to react or take decision but finally we won't have to look so far : in a few monthes we'll notice we've got the french equivalent now.

Hi - I followed those elections with interest from here in Christchurch, NZ. I think I feel the same way you do. The last thing Europe needs is someone sympathetic to Bush, and the Right in general.
I think the hope now if for the Americans to ditch the Republicans in a big way. In one way, I'd love to see Al Gore stand for, and win, the Presidency and sort out some attitudes in the US. But, dreams are free, I guess.
Cheers,
Dennis.
